CRKTM16-12Z EDC Folding Pocket Knife with Serrated Edge Blade
Category: crkt (columbia river knife & tool)
Kit Carson's M16 designs have been our most popular series for years, with the Z version boasting the largest user base. These knives prioritize function over passing trends and offer exceptional value. The M16-02Z and M16-12Z models are like tough little bulldogs, featuring 3.00" dual grind Tanto-style blades. They utilize our successful InterFrame construction, incorporating tough, textured glass-filled nylon scales over a 420J2 stainless steel liner InterFrame. To ensure rigidity, we overbuild them with solid glass-filled nylon back spacers and assemble the handle using superior offset Torx fasteners. The handle is notably rigid and ergonomically fills the hand. The blades are crafted from tough AUS 8 high-carbon stainless steel, providing enhanced everyday utility. They are available with either Razor-Sharp or Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edges. All models come equipped with the Carson Flipper, serving as both a blade opener, especially useful when wearing gloves, and a blade guard when open. Additionally, automated liner safety is included, offering an advanced locking liner safety feature. This system sets a pin between the locking liner and the frame, adding an extra layer of security to prevent accidental disengagement during use. To close the knife, simply pull back the red buttoned safety lever, slide the locking liner over, and fold the blade into the closed position. If you seek one of the most secure safety systems available, the choice is clear. Each style features lubrous washers and a removable stainless steel clothing/gear clip. Think of the M16-Z as a Clydesdale—always ready for action, whether charging into battle or pulling a beer wagon, day in and day out. The specifications include a Blade Length of 3.090" (78.49 mm), Combination Edge with Triple Point™ Serrations, AUS 8 Steel, Bead Blast Blade Finish, 0.114" (2.9 mm) Blade Thickness, Hollow Grind, Closed Length of 4.235" (107.57 mm), Open Length of 7.375" (187.33 mm), Weight of 3.6 oz (102.06g), Glass Reinforced Nylon Handle, Folding Knife Style with Locking LinerSafe, and Automated Liner Safety for added security. The Triple Point serrations offer excellent cutting power for fibrous materials, while the glass-reinforced nylon handle combines strength with lightweight design. Designed by Kit Carson in Vine Grove, Kentucky, this knife is versatile for everyday carry in various settings, be it at home or in the office.
