During the development of our Carson special forces G10 M16 models, it became evident that coalition forces deployed in desert environments had a strong demand for these knives. Featuring Desert Tan blade and scales, the M16-13DSFG Slim Profile G10 showcases a 3.50" (89 mm) dual grind Tanto blade, perfect for situations where minimizing weight and bulk is crucial, weighing in at a mere 4.0 ounces. This knife, similar to its black tactical variant, incorporates a unique design that combines requested features from military procurement specialists in the Carson SF series. It boasts a Razor-Sharp and patented (1) Veff Serrated edge, with an open build allowing for the inclusion of two Carson Flippers, a rarity in folding knives until now. The non-reflective Desert Tan blade and scales are crafted from premium 8Cr14 stainless steel with a titanium nitride coating for enhanced corrosion resistance. The knife features Kit's signature dual checkered thumb studs for easy one-hand opening and closing, facilitated by the open InterFrame build with Desert Tan G10 scales and stainless steel liners with friction grooves. The M16-13DSFG is equipped with an automated liner safety system, elevating the locking liner safety to a new level. This safety mechanism includes a pin that secures the locking liner to the frame, providing an additional layer of protection to prevent accidental disengagement during use. To close the knife, users simply pull back the red buttoned safety lever, slide the locking liner over, and fold the blade into the closed position. For those seeking one of the most secure safety systems available, the choice is clear – automatic. All knives in this series offer clip options for versatile four-position carry on belts or webbing – tip up, tip down, left, or right (note: not suitable for tip-up in-pocket carry).
